Fathom 06:53
- Lyrics by Josh Kay The ridge slopes gently Dividing green light The roots abstaining He views the veiled blight Into the clearing A field of calm white The air is rich here His breath is without mind Tempting marrow Forfeit outer rings Tempting silence Humbled perfectly Back in suspension Inviting bright lights New roots of fiber So pallid, gripping tight A meadow names him Uncharted beauty To sleep obscurely Secure his own release Tempting marrow Forfeit outer rings Tempting silence Humbled perfectly

- Lyrics by Jon Damon My purpose stalls again She sees it through my cage A hidden thought of them A relic from the age I cannot see your face We’re better off like that So many questions raised Why this new habitat? I still don’t know why it is here No reason I can seem to find But like it or not it’s so clear Like a tumor the secret’s in my mind Days to months, now years, I’ll never leave Freedom never chief as harmony Every second I'm more bereaved Freedom they tempting never breaking me I still don’t know why it is here No reason I can seem to find But like it or not it’s so clear Like a tumor the secret’s in my mind

- Lyrics by Josh Kay Two steps arrive in larger leaps Inertia will end Craft joys that once required keys The margin shrinks a little more Sort through the entries, suspend peace Inertia will end Fear flooding, salvaging a name The margin’s fine but bittersweet Bargaining For the velvet treated edge Nothing more Seeking the prospect certainty Inertia will end Upgraded tolerance for pain Regress to progress, understand Bargaining For the velvet treated edge Nothing more Bargaining For the velvet treated edge Or collapse the pale

Heirloom 05:35
- Lyrics by Josh Kay Conclusions on display Sequence to signify Learn to expedite The pendulum will swing The slightest shift in line Yields the faintest pride Gift to all the earth Tame the sky forever Illusion of wisdom Sequential borderline Learn to tend the flame The pendulum drops down A storm cellar awaits But is it too late? Gift to all the earth Tame the sky forever Heir to all reveries Mother must be proud Heaving pillars stone In vain Fragile calculus The frame Scar the centerpiece For lust Consciousness opaque In dust Gift to all the earth Are we young forever? Heir to all reveries Mother must be proud

Zero Sum 07:03
- Lyrics by Jon Damon & Josh Kay Beams locked in Flash across the range Blocked in Force assembled Skid along the way Hauled in Cloaked features Cornered beneath the paint Lawless Circumstance Desperate enough to clear Suspect Destiny Clandestine Held back from the start And each other Emblems shine En route to find And collar All the distant marks No mention of the others Destiny Clandestine Held back from the start The sum of scripts we now impart Wild abandon Time fleeting and Raw purpose Last tactic Weave counter web Grasp closure Destiny Clandestine Held back from the start And each other Emblems shine En route to find And collar All the distant marks No mention of the others Destiny Clandestine Held back from the start The sum of scripts we now impart

Attenuation 10:36
- Lyrics by Josh Kay Faint light prompting my eyes Decaying tunnel, certainly I've been here before Yet my slate remains white Why do my words shatter in our dialogue? Find warmth By design My design But compromise Engage with my own hands Seems right to me but many questions still remain My worth soars in your truth So why do the tunnels bleed and rot away? Hard lines form on my skin Your gratitude now chisels at the fabric in me All the while my tasks grow The things I've seen will bargain for own sanity Vague warmth Age defines My design Past compromise Expecting the vast gold Distortions of mind Withered and stricken Cherish awhile My testament signed off Perhaps this is right Clearance for solace Release

- Lyrics by Jon Damon Like candle straw men Un-breaking the string Just in time On the double Nowhere And starting nowhere From the beginning On a chance To clear The remains Wages Never Never enough Reclaim Place On On the pulpit Canned laughter haunting Thoroughfares of mind Motor skill agents Act in kind Cut out and shapeless Forging a new plan Blanked hardware idle Slighting man Wages Never Never enough Reclaim Place On On the pulpit Sand in ceiling Loosens above And ready To dust Dust the culprit And crumbling overtures For the last Congregation Blind and fading fast A bogus moniker For a faux Constellation Anvils made of glass

about

Steeped in rich, brooding atmospheres, ‘The Last Semblance’ covers a wide spectrum of sonic landscapes and emphasizes the melodic journey over deliberate technique. The album draws influence from such groups as Porcupine Tree, Nevermore, Alice in Chains, Opeth, Portishead, and yet creates an aura that is distinctly unique. The results are a sound that is challenging to define, pensive, and often at the crossroads of melody and dissonance.
